CASTELLANO BRINGS A SENSE OF NATURE TO NATIONS
SURGICAL
Metal Sculptor installs his 16'X 4" metal installation, "The
River"
Encino, CA July 3, 2002 - Perry Castellano, Los Angeles
based metal sculptor, proudly announces the installation of his multipart
work in Nation Surgical Center in Encino, California. The River is
a 25-piece work composed of organic forms cut from 14-gage cold rolled
steel. The variations in each form, bends and curves, is designed
to give the impression of moving water with the darker hues of a deep-running
river.
The concept for The River was originated when designer, Cherie Jeffrey
Sherman, commissioned Castellano to create a metal wall sculpture
for the waiting room of the Nations Surgery Centers Encino facility.
"Within our corporate design dictate of promoting a sense of tranquility
and calm, we asked Perry to incorporate organic and fluid lines" says
Sherman, "These ideas are often difficult to capture in metal but
the final piece surpassed our expectations. We look forward to working
with him on additional pieces." |
